We are located at the Western Skies Business Park on the north side of Warner Road, between Val Vista and Lindsay. There are 3 buildings in the complex, two of those sit on Warner Road, and one is in the back behind the other two. We are in the back building furthest north in the complex, building 1176, suite 102.

Traditionally, therapy sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis. We prefer to begin with weekly sessions to begin addressing the challenges frequently. However, over the years, we have found that every other week meetings can be just as effective. Let us know if you need a different biweekly schedule.

Time in treatment is different for everyone, but our average patient and family’s range between 12-18 sessions but it really depends upon the needs of the patient and family.

Yes. At Gilbert Family Counseling we use a HIPPA compliant secure Live Video Conferencing platform through a company called Simple Practice, to maintain the same standards of confidentiality as in-person sessions. You can use your phone or laptop for the session.

If you do not attend a scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified your therapist at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $75 fee.

Therapists are working in therapy sessions throughout the day and do not answer their phones. Email works the best. In your first session you and our therapist will sit down and chat for a few minutes to get to know a little more about each other. The therapist will then ask questions to gain information about why you are seeking counseling, how specifically we can help you with your counseling needs, and together you will collaborate on a set of therapy goals that will lead us to the solutions for the initial problem.

No. Third party paperwork includes FMLA documentation, emotional support animal letters, academic accommodation letters and disability paperwork. Completing third-party paperwork is considered outside the scope of practice for Counselors. Our therapists have no training in standards for writing third-party letters.

Beginning January 1, 2022, federal laws regulating client care have been updated to include the “No Surprises Act”. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services called a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost.
